At the risk of really redundant linkage…

Sorry, but this one is just too good:

“People don’t want to sit through a three-hour vegetarian, feminist lecture about how bad modern civilization is…American moviegoers enjoy their heroes. And, they enjoy the fruits of their capitalist society, a big part of which is the liberty to eat as much animal flesh as you want.”

can you guess the source, and what movie is being referred to?

  • Heh, that was an easy one on both. Hey, one thing about LYT–he may be to the left of me, but he likes eating animals more than I do. (is that getting away from the double entendre? I started with meat, and that just sounded bad).

So, I dunno about this left=vegetarian thing so much.

Good God! I normally don’t click through to the links, because it’s so pointless. But I had NO idea what movie he was talking about, and I saw King Kong.

And someone should tell him that, if he likes to take the Bible so literally, he should remember that God let Adam & Eve eat ONLY a vegetarian diet. Dumb ass.

I don’t have to guess at the site – it can only be the lunatics guide to vengeful capitalist Christianity – the 3 hour bit was the only real clue as to the movie – seeing as every film that doesn’t praise their unique vision of the divine rupture is bound to be communist, feminist and with an abhorrent pagan worldview.

Needless to say, gorillas ARE vegetarians. And it seems particularly amusing that the complaint is about Kong being vegetarian, in light of the fact that the meat he preferred in the 1933 film was LIVE HUMAN BEINGS.

I fail to see how that’s more Christian.
