I appreciate the shout-out Luke... I've placed ads in most of the trades available to me where musicians tend to hang out, and I've been overwhelmed with responses... very weird ones. Essentially, the moral of this story is about the same with many of the folks I've actually tried collaborating with over the years.
Whether you're signed or not, you'll run into many more people who *think* they want to be professional musicians, than are capable of and want to do the work it takes to get signed in the first place, let alone to fulfill the obligations of being signed and enjoying a living based on music. Shame, too. As it's really no work at all, if your heart's in it for the right reasons. It's actually pretty exciting and fun. I doubt that anyone coming to this site is ready, or else I would have heard from 'em a long time ago, but you never know. I hope to be able to share all this stuff with some deserving souls, but it's more damaging to all involved if someone's not really ready to make this their life's work. I know it's what *I'm* supposed to be doing, and a good deal of folks are happy about that, so that's good enough of a start. Thanks very much, for trying to help. :)

Hmmm. An optimistic glimmer has rung through on the email just now... If nothing else, at least the streak has been broken. haha
