The cigarette burns at least have a legitimate reason to exist, and they're always in the far right corner. The CAP braille though, is right in the middle of the screen and intentionally contrasting the shot so they'll be able to read it even on a crappy camera copy. Meanwhile most real bootlegs come from russia or canada, and they can edit out single frames anyway. It's like you're being punished for paying to see the movie in the theaters by them defacing it. I really wish they'd find a method that wasn't so intrusive. Yeah, repetition might make it pretty obvious too.

That braille thing is annoying - just like the "cigarette burns" in the upper right-hand corner to indicate reel change, which I notice less and less these days. But just in general, parts of a street having mismatched asphalt isn't that unusual. So it might not be that glaring unless you know what you're looking for.
