I had to read the spoilers; I can’t wait to rip this film to shreds — nah, just kidding. But, the Star Trek geek in me will be watching out for a lot of things when this film opens next May.

That Cardassian drink bothers me but, it does leave me to believe that they have a long history as I remember the character, Garek (played by Andrew Robinson) on my favorite Star Trek show, “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” when after the war, he mentions a long and rich Cardassian history now lost.

Speaking of DS9, I wonder if the alien at the bar with a really long face, looking like a cross between a human and baboon may be a descendant of the character, Morn. The way you described the alien sounds like Morn (an alien who sits at Quark’s Bar quietly and a rip off the “Cheers” character of Norm on another Paramount show). Later in the series, Morn did participate in bringing the Cardassian/Jem’Hadar Alliance.

More on this later; have to get back to work.

Morn did participate in bringing the Cardassian/Jem’Hadar Alliance DOWN.

Morn was also a parody of Norm from CHEERS.

But no, this alien looks nothing like him. Looks more like that horrible CGI singer in the Return of the Jedi special edition. But more lifelike.
