I just saw BODY OF LIES, and while I enjoyed it quite a bit, mainly because I never knew quite where it was going, and some really stellar work by Mark Strong, I had one major problem.
Russell Crowe and Leonardo DiCaprio both unnecessarily ordered to do fake Southern accents by English director Ridley Scott.
They’re good actors, but as someone who’s from the South, let me do a public service right now, since I know some of my actor friends are reading.
I have never, in my life, met a Southerner who pronounces the personal pronoun “me” as “may.”
