		<description>Ugh - it&#039;s no consolation to anyone that layoffs are going around.

That&#039;s a big loss to CityBeat, which was looking anorectically thin on the racks last week.

Andy&#039;s an excellent critic - smart and well-read(viewed?) without being snotty. Eloquent and passionate without being a blowhard. Smart without being elitist and engaging on all levels in all genres of both cinema and writing.

I hope deeply that he finds a landing spot here in town - his voice is needed.</description>
