I think my first experience of The Lemonheads was their cover of “Mrs. Robinson.” And in the early ’90s, when “alternative” was suddenly cool, there was this brief idea that Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield were somehow the metaphorical prom king and queen. I thought I was immune to the remake outrage. I laughed at my fellow horror friends who get super-outraged at every new attempt by Wes Craven to cash in on his own legacy by whoring out his old titles. After all, some remakes are good. THE RING, for instance. I happen to like the new [...] Last night, I went downtown to the Grammy Museum, which was showing a little something called JOHNNY CASH AT FOLSOM PRISON. I was excited – a legendary concert by a legendary man. Forget Joaquin Phoenix, this was going to be the real Johnny on the big screen. Well…not so much. The movie called JOHNNY CASH AT FOLSOM PRISON [...] I hate the dentist. Nothing personal…I actually feel bad for the dentist who has to deal with me as a patient.
