    It’s a sad day and I hope you have enough support to make it through alright. From everything I read he seemed like a great man who will be missed by many.

    Luke — heartfelt condolences to you and yours. I’ll refrain from saying “I know just how you feel” (per your grandfather’s final column), but my grandfather passed just last year, and was a figure held in similarly deep respect, I believe — just a real enriching presence in my life. Thoughts are with you, good sir.
