Oh, that explains it. I didn't realize they had divorced. I'm out of the loop. And I apparently don't know my geography...coulda sworn it was SC.

I'm sorry to hear that your brothers are so far away...I know how much they mean to you. At least you can talk to them on Skype for free. I think GoogleChat also has a video chat, but I haven't really looked into it. I think I have a little webcam if you need one so you could do video chat with them.

The brothers live in Paris with their mother, as they mostly have since Adam was born. My father, now divorced, is back in Virginia and/or North Carolina, depending on when the mood strikes him.

I'm trying to get dad to move out here with me -- haven't been persuasive enough yet!

What a great video! I was totally Reuben as a kid...burger, cheese, bun and catsup. But I thought they lived in South Carolina now? I know they were in France for a while, but I guess I missed something there.

Lovely footage to watch! I loved Adam's pedicure work - and was struck by Reuben's musician's fingers...Hope you all had a great time. Tony.

Hey Luke, long time no comment.

And yeah, MTV these days saddens and annoys me too. But then so does the general music scene. Half the reason the only acts I still enjoy are No Doubt/Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry (yeah I know, teenage girl stuff) is likely because, in my experience anyway, none of them seems to take themselves that seriously. OTOH, so many others do (*cough*/Lady Gaga/*cough*), and their videos reflect it: they're nothing but seven-minutes love letters to themselves and their oh-so-incredible talents, looks, sex lives, mansions, cars, guns, etc. etc. etc.

'Bout the only stuff I find myself downloading (legally of course) these days is classics. I just downloaded the Moody Blues' Best of and The Other Side of Life. And I've been debating lately whether to blow the dough for Foreigner's first album and 4.

So I can absolutely understand and appreciate the a-ha fandom. Their two- count'em, two-- big hits were IMHO far more memorable than most of what passes for new music these days. I might even have gone with ya to see 'em, if I had the dough myself.

Well that certainly would make a non-fish-eater like myself, less anxious about visiting Japan.

Quite a few things actually. Beyond non-fish traditional Japanese food such as yakisoba (fried noodles), udon (noodles in soup), ramen (different noodles in soup), katsu (breaded and fried chicken or pork), to name a few, Japan also offers a full variety of most western and eastern cuisines in abundance. I think the only thing that you would miss eating in Japan would be Mexican food.
