Name that tune
I had some luck doing this before, so let's see if my readers can't help me again.
Especially Ben Boyer.
The song I'm looking to find is a pop song, danceable, not a current hit but definitely one in the past few years. Female vocal, young-sounding.
Chorus features lyrics that sound to my ears like: "Turn out the lights, turn out the lights...there's a party party party, going now now now..."
Googling the lyrics does nothing, as they're very common lyrics taken by themselves.
If MTV still did its job I'm sure I'd know by now now now.

I don't know what the name of that song is, or who sings it, but I know for a fact that it starts playing every time Ben Boyer walks into a room in London.

Can you describe the singer or singer(s)?

Young sounding and female. I have never seen a video, as hinted by my MTV comment, so I don't know what this person looks like, but I'm betting attractive and in great shape.
Not one of those voices that gives an obvious clue as to race, either.
Come on. Someone.

A million to one the song you're thinking of is Nelly Furtado's "Turn Off the Light," which does in fact rule and was a hit in 2001. I am not ashamed to say I love Furtado deeply, and her new album "Loose" is also amazing, with at least 10 singles on it. Hopefully I will redeem myself in terms of this shameful confession with a comment in the post above this one.

I KNEW Double-B would come through on this. Good job, too, since I apparently misquoted the lyrics quite a bit.
