Young women are always interested in losers. That's what makes them so bitter when they're older--all the time they wasted on jerks.

Obligatory mention that Reno 9-11 contains many the State alumni here.

"alumni" correctly implies that they graduated to something better. Which these ones did.

Muppety Michael Showalter has a cameo in the movie, but isn't part of the ensemble.

It's "Reno" this weekend!

I really like the TV show.. hope I like the movie.

The film stars Thomas Lennon, Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver, Cedric Yarbrough, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Niecy Nash, [SPOILERS DELETED -- LYT] All members of The State appear in the movie. This is the first time every member has been together on camera in quite some time.

I gotta curb my obsession with "Girls Next Door" and check out the Reno TV show some time.

Viva "The State"!!

Censorship!!!

You could just admit the State is awesome, you know. You don't have to get all edit-y and facist about it.

David, aside from the fact that your post spoiled all the celebrity cameos, and thus was "modified" by me, I'm not sure what your point is. I never said they weren't all in the movie. I said Michael Showalter isn't part of the usual ensemble of the show, and he isn't - he cameos in one scene in the film. Ditto a couple other guys.

Showalter, if you'll remember, is the one I found least endearing.

Mmm-hmm, sure.

A slippery slope, indeed. One minute, you're protecting yourself from trolls, and the next... censoring loyal readers!

I should've suspected something like this was coming back on the 16th:

It's a slippery slope...

Except for "Inland Empire," "Reno 911: Miami" is the movie that I am most upset about missing by being in the UK. The show isn't played over here so the film isn't likely to get a European release. The Lynch film is out here March 9th, thankfully, but if it's like my recent experiences, it'll require a lot of work, and maybe even a day off work (!) to see. ("Old Joy" played here last week, at one theater, once a day, at 5:20pm, and is now gone).

Also, whatever you say about Showalter, his performance and role in creating "Wet Hot American Summer" grants him unimpeachable God status.

Huh. That was me, if it wasn't obvious enough. Oh, and we did get "Starter for Ten" about 3 months before the States, but that's not saying much. I need a Dangle fix. If you know what I mean.
