Looking for a charity that takes secondhand toys
Not new toys, opened ones. I used to have a source but lost it.
Google has not been my friend on this one.
Alternately, if you have a kid who doesn't mind opened figures and wants some action toys in the superhero/horror/wrestling genre, I might have free stuff for you.
Mario - do you go to children's hospitals at all?

Charity? Don't you know those toys are worth thousands! How are you ever going to afford health insurance now?

Employer's got my back on health insurance now!

But couldn't you open your own home entertainment store with the profits instead?

I was going to suggest Goodwill, but David just reminded me that we had to unload the last batch of "action figs we have no room for" into Mr. Trashbin (sad as it was).
I know the Boo would be happy to take some (not scary) superhero action figures off your hands, but that would assume you wanted to bother with bringing them down to O.C.

Contrary wise, why not do one of those giant batch listings on E-Bay?

No LYT,
I don't perform in any chldren's hospital's. But I do volunteer and play at my 2 Grandson's Pre-school.
Also, the nursing homes that I play in, the workers are mostly from other country's, and most live Paycheck-to-Paycheck, and, I have made so many frineds with these wonderful people, and, most of them have children.
If you want, we can set things up to pass out these toys,
BUT,
I want people to know that they are coming from you. Me and you joke around, about this and that, but I know you have a good heart. We can put the toys to good use. Let me know.

I am a charity that takes second hand toys! Aaack! I cannot believe you have to get rid of them, but moving is the best time to clean.
Hope to hear from you about your new digs soon!

I live in the midwest and we have a battered women's home that is run by great people. I hate
to use the word christian because it is so misused. The have a hiding place and a thrift store called The Hiding Place Thrift Store. These kids are uprooted and placed in isolation
until either divorced, can retrain these women in jobs and get them on their feet and be independent. I am sure the kids would love some toys. I am sure you will find the right home for these toys. Good Luck!
