Quick updates
90% moved, after a weekend solely dedicated to same, watching movers be flummoxed by my possessions, and charging me up the ass for it.
Still no phone, Internet, or TV at the new place. May be like that all week. But I can be reached at the office, and you can find the main line at ocweekly.com, somewhere.
I'll be back Tuesday evening for a session of Blu-tack removal at the old place. Anyone who's up for joining in, I could use your help. If anybody would like to meet for dinner also, that can be arranged.
Party of some kind Saturday. Details to come, but keep your evening time free.
And while I moved all my worldly goods, Cathy Seipp went into ICU. If you ever enjoyed her work, go pay your last respects.

What is Blu-tack removal?
Given our location we're probably better suited to "move-in" help then "move-out" help. If you need internet in a pinch O.C. side you could probably come by here, if need be.

blu-tack is putty-like stuff used to hang posters. Generally it adheres to itself and comes off easily, but after 8 years, some of it remains on the walls and must be removed with something spirit-based like nail polish remover or goo-gone.
I have lots on the walls.

Well LYT,
Can't make the party. My wife and I are celebrating our 5th wedding anniversery on Saturday. It's actually March 23rd, but work calls.
And tomorrow evening, I am going to see my 2 grandson's. No Blu-tac for me, darn-it>>>>>LOL
Going to start giving out toys tomorrow.

Don't know if I'll be able to make it Tuesday, but I advise you not to use "Goo Gone". It tends to leave worse oil stains than the Blu Tack in cases like this.
Personal tip: For the amount you're dealing with, get:
1. The biggest container you can find of canned air, used for computer dusting... (or several of the smaller cans, especially if someone is there to help you).
2. Also get either a flat razor or box cutter (again, more if someone's coming to help.)
3. Turn the canned air upside down, and quickly blast the heck out of the tack, until it freezes.
4. Then, you'll be able to quickly pop or off the hardened Blu Tack, and getting yourself all gunky and funky.
You'll probably still have oil stains from the tack left behind (nothing you really can do about that), but the blue will be gone and it will be easier for the landlord to come in and paint. This has worked for me since 1992.

Correction:
4. Then, you'll be able to quickly pop or scrape off the hardened Blu Tack, and without getting yourself all gunky and funky.
