I never knew before that Queen actually did a music video for the greatest hero theme ever.
Been trying to persuade Matt King of the glories of this movie. The video below may make or break my case.

Isaac Hayes cooler than Freddie Mercury? Nahhh.
The only hero theme that even comes close is "Da na na na na na na BATMAN!"

I'm with Luke all the way on this one - and so glad you found that video, (thanks) - which as far as I know has never been on mainstream or cable music TV in the UK. I have always thought it was important that the film was made when it was - any later and the effects guys would have done it a disservice by making it slicker - and Feddie would have been dead...no - not the bore worms!!

I remember seeing this exact same music video on Philippines TV when my family and I stayed in the Philippines for one year (1980-1981). FLASH GORDON was the movie rage over there then and the music video was always on almost every variety show on the air.
